「LUV STORIES」by LY
銀座 蔦屋書店（東京都中央区 GINZASIX 6F）は、ペインター・LYの新作個展「LUV STORIES」を2021年10⽉16⽇（⼟）から10⽉26⽇（⽕）の期間で開催いたします。“本”をテーマに制作した新作に加え、壁画アートやエディション作品の展⽰も⾏います。また、今回の個展開催を記念して10⽉15⽇（⾦）からアートEC「OIL by 美術⼿帖」にてエディション作品のオンライン抽選販売も実施いたします。
概要
LYは国内外で活躍するペインターで、モノクロの絵を描き続け、⾃⾝の気持ちや想いを投影したモンスター“LUV”(ルーヴ)をシグネチャーとする作家です。
本展では、“本”をテーマに制作した新作作品の展⽰を⾏います。本展は「LUV STORIES」と題し、LUVと本にまつわる様々な情景を描いた15点の作品と15の短⽂が互いにリンクし合いLY独特の世界観を作り上げます。
また、これまでリーガルウォールを中⼼に東京、アメリカ、パリ、バンコク、マレーシアなど国内外で制作を⾏ってきたLYの制作のルーツにもなっている壁画アートも披露いたします。
さらに、今回アートEC「OIL by 美術⼿帖」でのオンライン抽選販売も⾏う、“LUV”のポートレート作品《Our Eyes Met》の展⽰も⾏います。

アーティストステートメント
深い深いグレーの森に迷い込んだ、
読書とスケートは最⾼だ、
電⾞で読む本を家に忘れてきた、
この前読んだ物語みたいな景⾊だ、
本屋はまだ開かない、
僕たちはいつもこの結末を議論する、
続きが気になって眠れなかった、
また、道に迷った、
この写真について話したい⼈に随分と会っていない、
パークで続きを読んで君を待った、
20時の読書会、
君のおすすめはいつも退屈、
もう50分も外で待っている、
森の奥にある本屋で1⼈1冊づつ好きな本を買った、
僕は眠る前に読んでもらうこの物語がとても好きだ。

LY
東京⽣まれ。
⽩と黑と、多数のグレーを使い、海外で訪れた街並みや、幼い時から想像していたストリートや街並みを描く。その
⾵景には⾃⾝の気持ちや想いを投影したモンスター”LUV"が彷徨う。 幼少よりアートスクールで絵画を学び、 ⾼
校の時、ストリートアートに出会い、ミューラルペイント、ストリートアートの魅⼒を知る。

"LUV STORIES" by LY
GINZA TSUTAYA BOOK STORE (GINZASIX 6F）is pleased to announce a solo exhibition by LY, "LUV STORIES" starting from Oct. 16th (sat) till 26th (tue). In addition to new works based on the theme of "book", wall paintings and editioned works will also be on display. Raffle for eitioned work will starts from Oct. 15th (fri) through "OIL".
LY is a painter active both in Japan and overseas, who continues to paint in black and white, and whose signature is the monster "LUV", a projection of his feelings and thoughts.
This exhibition will feature new works created on the theme of "books". Under the title of "LUV STORIES", 15 works and 15 short texts depicting various scenes related to LUV and books will be linked to each other to create a unique LY's world view.
The exhibition will also feature some mural arts that has been the backbone of LY's work, which has been carried out both in Japan and abroad, including Tokyo, the US, Paris, Bangkok, Malaysia, etc., using the Legal Wall as the center.
We hope you will enjoy the exhibition.

LY
Born in Tokyo.
Using white, black, and various grays, LY draws streets and cityscapes that she has visited overseas and imagined since she was a child. The naves have a strong sense of responsibility.
In the nave, a monster named "LUV" wanders around, projecting her feelings and thoughts. She studied painting at an art school from a young age.
When she was in high school, she encountered street art and discovered the fascination of mutural painting and street art.

To celebrate the opening of the exhibition, an online lottery will be held to sell "Our Eyes Met," a portrait of the black monster "LUV" that appears in LY's work. Applications will be accepted on the online store "OIL" starting from 10:00am on October 15th (Mon).
